Level of Service Description

LEVEL 1

24 hour monitoring and emergency response service. Emergency services and/or a nominated person will be contacted in the event of an emergency.

LEVEL 2

As Level 1 but a trained Vitaline Emergency Responder will attend every emergency.

LEVEL 3

As Level 2 but with the addition of a key holding service.

LEVEL 4

As Level 3 but with the addition of pre-planned regular telephone calls to ensure that all is well and/or to discuss any problems that the client may be experiencing.

LEVEL 5

As Level 4 but with the addition of medication prompts where there is an assessed need.

Enhanced Telecare

Enhanced Telecare consists of a range of discreet wireless sensors that are placed around a client’s home. They consist of both environmental sensors that monitor gas, flood, carbon monoxide, door entry and exits and personal sensors to detect movement, wandering or a fall. These can be worn on the body or attached to a bed or chair. Each package is tailored individually to the client.

Any resident of Blackpool who has an assessed need may be eligible to receive the service free of charge.  While Vitaline staff cannot make this decision, we are able to refer clients to the appropriate department. Please contact us for further details.

Clients can purchase enhanced Telecare privately from Vitaline whether or not they are resident in Blackpool and costs are calculated according to requirements. Prices are available on request,

Routine applications for Basic Telecare will be processed and equipment fitted within 48 hours. Urgent applications will be processed and equipment fitted within 4 hours.

Routine applications for Enhanced Telecare will be processed and equipment fitted within 7days.
Urgent applications will be processed and equipment fitted within 36 hours.
